Step by step:
1. I first cleansed the face to remove any makeup or dirt from the face with the Johnson's Makeup Wipes.
2. I applied the Nivea Day Moisturiser all over the face and applied some Nivea Original Lip Balm to the lips so both would be moisturised and ready for makeup application.
3. I applied the Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the eye lids with my finger to prevent creasing.
4. I used Real Techniques Setting Brush and Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set the primer and to give it a powdery finish, ready to blend colours on top.
5. I applied some tape on the outer edge of each eye, from the outer corner to the end of the eye brow, to use as a guide for my eye liner.
6. Using the Mac 210 Eye Liner Brush I applied some Illamasqua Gel Eyeliner in Infinity along the lash line and along the tape to create a dramatic wing. I tried to make this as smooth as possible and as even as possible.
7. I lightly blended some Hoola Bronzer by Benefit into the crease the Estee Lauder Blending Brush to give some natural definition.
8. Using the Rimmel Colour Precise Eyeliner in Blue, I traced along the top line of the black eye liner to create an even line. I extended the blue eye liner at the point of the eye liner slightly to create a new shape point.
9. I removed the tape to reveal a sharp eye liner line.
10. I applied the Nivea Men Shave Balm all over the face to help the makeup stick to the face and make the makeup last longer.
11. I applied some NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Punjab all over the face with a Beauty Blender to give a full and even coverage.  I blended this down the neck and would put it on the body if I was doing the full shoot look to give all the skin the same colour and texture.
12. I applied the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light, which is a couple shades lighter than the foundation, to the high points of the face and under the eyes to conceal and give a brightening effect. I blended this out with a beauty blender.
13. I lightly swept some Laura Mercier Translucent Powder under the eyes with the Real Techniques Setting Brush to prevent creasing and on any imperfections to make the makeup last longer.
14. I filled in the eye brows with a mixture of eye shadows Naked 2 and Faint from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette with the Illamasqua Angled Brush to create a strong, but still natural looking brow. I brushed them through with a disposable mascara wand to remove any excess product.
15. I applied some Bourjois Bronzing Primer under the cheek bones, either side of the nose and round the forehead to bronze up the face. I used the StyleMaster Fluffy Concealer Brush to do this.
16. I applied some Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent with the Real Techniques Setting Brush where I wanted the bronzer on the cheeks to go so that the powder bronzer would blend more easily.
17. I applied some Bahama Mama Bronzer by TheBalm with a Real Techniques Setting Brush along the cheek bones to give the cheek bones more definition and a strong contour.
18. I applied some Mac Cream Colour Base in Pearl to the tops of the cheek bones, down the nose, on the cupids bow, on the brow bone, in the inner corner and in the centre of the forehead to give the skin a glowy finish.
19. I then intensified this highlight with the NARS Illuminator in Copacabana.
20. I applied some white Supra Colour with the Silk Pro Eye Detailer Brush in the waterline to give a bright, doll-like look.
21. Using Duo Lash Glue, I applied a strip of spikes fake eye lashes to the upper lash line and a smaller clump to the lower lash line, slightly in from the outer edge. I used tweezers for precision.
22. Using the Silk Pro Pointed Lip Brush, I applied Sleek Semi-Matte Lipstick in Flaunt It to the outer perimeter of the lips and then a bright coral pink on the centre. I blended these colours softly together, but I still wanted to be able to see the difference in colours.
21. I finally applied some Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss in Keep A Secret to make her lips look plump and glossy.

Wash & Dry Face Chart
I am really happy with how dewy the skin looked because it looked very pretty and natural. I decided that when I practiced the makeup look the skin didn't look dewy enough so I decided to only powder slightly underneath the eyes to set the concealer. I noticed my model had very dry skin so I wasn't concerned with her looking too oily without setting the makeup. The only other place I set the makeup was where I was going to put the cheek contour as I wanted this to be very strong and felt the contour powders I had would create a darker look. I also didn't want this area of the face to have any shine as it was supposed to look like an exaggerated shadow. I think the eye brow colour matches the model's hair perfectly and I like how they are very defined, but not too harsh or fake looking. I like how dramatic the graphic eye liner looks because it makes a bold statement and I am happy with how even they are! The blue eyeliner doesn't look very obvious in these photos, however I am happy with how the blue eyeliner looks in my studio images. I love how glossy I made the lips look as the light in the studio really makes them stand out and look shiny. I also love how I added oil and vaseline over parts of the body to give a glossy finish because it makes the skin look almost plastic, which is the doll-like look I was going for. I like how the dewy finish of the face reflects the dewy finish of the body because it makes the plastic look consistent. The glow on the skin is very flattering and many viewers of the advert will be very admirable of this look. The model looks very glamorous and perfected which is what many young women want to look like, making them more likely to want to buy the products.

Hair

Equipment:
-L'Oreal Paris Elvive ExtraOrdinary Oil
-Silvikrin Hair spray in Firm Hold
-Pin tail comb
-Paddle Brush
-Hair elastics

Step by step:
1. I gave the model a neat middle parting, all the way down to her neck, using a pin tail comb.
2. I next pinned up the side I wasn't going to work on to get it out of the way and then applied some L'Oreal Paris Elvive ExtraOrdinary Oil all over the section I was about to braid. I did this to make it more manageable and to give a smooth finish.
3. Starting on one side first, put the front triangle of hair in to three even sections.
4. Do a normal plait, but cross the hair under each other three times.
5. Start doing a french plait, but instead of taking the hair over each time, take the hair under instead to create a more three dimensional look.
6. Continue this, constantly tightening each section as you go, until you run out of hair to add into the plait and then finish it off with a normal plait.
7. Secure this with a small hair elastic the same colour as the model's hair.
8. Do the same on the other side of the middle parting.
9. Finish off by spraying some Silvikrin Hairspray all over the hair style to set it and smooth any fly aways.

I am so happy with how the hair turned out! These images were taken after the photoshoot had finished so when I was shooting there were less stray hairs as I smoothed them down the hair spray. I am a lot happier with the finish than in my practice as I used a hair oil instead of a hair gel. I found that the hair gel dried and turned matte; whereas the hair oil continued to give a glossy finish to the hair and I found it more manageable. I am so happy with how tight the dutch braids are because they look very neat and defined. I am also happy with how even they are as I have struggled to get braids even in the past. I asked the model to lean her hair slightly backwards when I got down to the neck to make sure that hair was pulled tight and I am happy with how tight it looks, as I have seen dutch braids before where the bottom looks very saggy and messy. I am also happy with how discrete the hair elastics look as they are small and a similar colour to the hair.
