Step by step/Tips and tricks:
-Exfoliate the night before to get rid of any dead skin cells and to create a smooth base for makeup application.
-Cleanse the face with cleanser and cotton pads to remove any makeup or dirt.
-Use a toner with a cotton pad to add the Ph balance back into the skin.
-Moisturise the skin well to add moisture into the skin. Warm the product up in your fingers first, then massage it into the face. Take into consideration their skin type, for example you wouldn't add a lot of moisturiser or a hydrating primer to a person with oily skin. Make sure you massage the products into the face to get the circulation going. Mac softening lotion was recommended to get rid of dryness.
-Moisturise the lips with a lip balm or oil before makeup application.
-It is very important to use a primer, probably a matte primer because you won't be powdering but you want your makeup to stay on longer, apply this either with your fingers or a flat foundation brush. Illamasqua primer gel is a really good one!
-Apply either some tinted moisturiser or an illuminating foundation, apply this with a beauty blender to get an even and flawless coverage. Mac Face and Body foundation is a good light-medium coverage foundation with a natural dewy finish, make sure you warm it up in your hands first.
-Apply an illuminater over the foundation on the high points of the face to give a dewy look.
-Add concealer if you need to, but use a concealer with a satin finish to stick with the illuminated look.
-Add a cream highlight/illuminater to any areas you want to look bright and dewy, dab this on with your fingers. You can use a lip balm as a highlight to give a more shiny look, rather than possibly shimmery look. Avoid using powder because it will give a matte finish and may be difficult to blend.
-Apply a cream blush to the cheeks, use a beauty blender or your fingers to achieve a natural finish.
-If the skin is looking too oily, dust some powder over any parts of the face which you want to make more matte.
-Apply a setting spray to keep the makeup in place and to possibly add vitamins.
-Apply more lip balm to finish off the fresh look.
I am really happy with how glowy and dewy the skin looked. It looks slightly dark under her eye still
so I may need to experiment with colour correction to cancel out the blue tones under peoples' eye to brighten that area. I didn't use a concealer as bright as I did before and I prefer the more subtly highlighted face because it look more natural. There is some slight redness round the nose which I could have covered up; however I think her skin looks very flawless and fresh looking.
-Eyeliner
-Eyeliner brush
-Cotton pad
-Cotton buds and cleanser if needed

Perfect Eyeliner

Step by step:
-Place a cotton pad under the eye to rest your hand on so you don't disturb the makeup.
-Pull up on the eye brows slightly so the skin is more taught, do this on the inner part too as skin may crease up or sag here in these places.
-Draw a line along the upper lash line, keeping it as close to the lash line as possible and making the line and smooth as possible.
-Draw a line where the bottom part of the wing is and then join the end up with the lash line, making it as thick or thin as you want. You may find it easier to use a thin slanted brush for the eye liner to give a straight line, rather then a pointed brush, but practice with both to see which one you prefer.

I used a gel eyeliner and a pointed brush to apply the eyeliner shown here because I find it is the easiest technique for me. I didn't add a primer to the eye lids before adding the eye liner which meant that the eyeliner smudged more easily and transferred to the top eye lid; I will always use an eye shadow primer from now on so this does not happen again. I am really happy with how smooth the line is along the lash line and how even they are on both sides. I am also happy with how even the wings are, as I tend to struggle with this. I had to make the wings slightly longer than usual because y model has slightly droopy eye lids which covered some of the eyeliner. I used a cotton bud with cleanser on to help me get a smooth line and to remove any parts where I went wrong. I am very happy with the final result.
