I want my catwalk photos to be mainly a head shot so that the makeup is very visible and clear; however I want some of the styling to be in the image so that I can show how the makeup and hair would look with the oriental style. Jonathan Saunders' SS16 looks were all about layering, pastel colours and oriental patterns so I wanted to incorporate these factors into my looks. I found some oriental looking silk robes, one blue with gold detailing and one burgundy with small gold patterns. Below are some combinations that I came up with and I have picked out my favourites and explained why.

I was inspired to do these oriental wrap dress looks by the image from Jonathan Saunders' look above. I really like how there were many different colours incorporated in the look, that you wouldn't necessarily put together, because it gives it a very fun and flirty feel. I layered different oriental silk robes over each other to give the same look; however I was limited to only two, which weren't particularly light or pastel colours. I liked the looks where I layered the burgundy robe over the patterned robe; however I prefer the ones where I layered the patterned robe on top because it looks much closer to Jonathan Saunders' look and they looked more fun and Cinches inspired. My favourite look was the last one I put together because I think the gold brightens up the look and I like how the gold, blue and burgundy compliment each other. I also like how I sinched in the waist as is gives the model a more flattering and feminine shape. I noticed that Jonathan Saunders' did this in most his looks where the clothing would otherwise be loose on the model.

This is definitely one of my favourite looks because it looks very structured, but it still has the oriental patterns in silk material. I also like how the dark and stiff top contrasts with the pastel coloured flowing lower half as it, again, isn't something people would pair together. I really like how I styled this outfit, above, because I like that there is layering and that the colours work well together and I think the colours would work well in Jonathan Saunders' collection. I was inspired to put a dark coloured V neck over a oriental patterned top with blue colours by the image above of a Jonathan Saunders' girl. I like that it is so closely linked to a look from his collection because then I feel I can see what the hair and makeup would actually look with the collection.
